Product Usage:
LYT-513 is a reactive flame retardant. Contains approximately 73% fatty bromine. It has high bromine content and special stability, especially its heat resistance, hydrolysis resistance and light stability. Its main use is as a reactive intermediate for high molecular weight flame retardants, and its high solubility allows it to bind phosphorus very efficiently. It can be used as a reactive flame retardant for polyurethane; it can produce flame retardant elastomers with ethyl carbamate groups through its monohydroxy functional reaction; its high bromine content and good compatibility are used in rigid or in soft polyurethane. can improve its flame retardant rating; it can be used in combination with dibromoneopentyl alcohol to take full advantage of their hydroxyl function.
