Product use: Zinc bromide is mainly used as completion fluid, cementing fluid and battery electrolyte in offshore oil drilling. Zinc bromide is mainly used in offshore oil wells as workover fluid and cementing fluid. 70% zinc bromide solution can be used alone and mixed with other bromides and chlorides as completion fluids for oil and gas wells. Zinc bromide solution is the material of choice when high density slurries (21 lb/gal) are required, as other polyvalent metal ions can precipitate calcium carbonate or sulfate which can affect oil and gas production.
